Uganda, country in east-central Africa. About the size of Great Britain, Uganda is populated by dozens of ethnic groups.
The English language and Christianity help unite these diverse peoples, who come together in the cosmopolitan capital of Kampala, a verdant city whose plan includes dozens of small parks and public gardens and a scenic promenade along the shore of Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest freshwater lake. The Swahili language unites the country with its East African neighbors Kenya and Tanzania. |
Maranatha International provided 5 Brand New sewing machines for the sewing class to help these young Pastors develop a trade that will support them as the pastor in poor rural communities.
We were also able to buy all the equipment necessary to start a baking class from the mixers to the ovens to the aprons! We also remodeled the kitchen with a new stove and ventilation system.
Because of your faithful giving, Maranatha provided the funds to complete the electrical work the campus chapel that seats 700 students, and repair 2 missionary guest houses.
