Peru Country
Peru, country in western South America. Except for the Lake Titicaca basin in the southeast, its borders lie in sparsely populated zones.
The boundaries with Colombia to the northeast and Brazil to the east traverse lower ranges or tropical forests, whereas the borders with Bolivia to the southeast, Chile to the south, and Ecuador to the northwest run across the high Andes. To the west, territorial waters, reaching 200 miles (320 km) into the Pacific Ocean, are claimed by Peru. |
Marcos and Ruth Costa minister in Iquitos, Peru, a city based at the beginning of the Amazon River. Marcos ministers to the Urarina people, a tribe that was not reached with the Gospel until a few years ago. Since then, Marcos working with other missions' organizations have built Bible schools for the Urarina people.
Now, they are sending out missionaries to reach upriver to those who have never heard the Gospel. Marcos needs support for his family, and he has asked me to help buy two 15HP outboard motors for small boats so he can reach the unreached tribes upriver with the Gospel.

SUNSHINE KIDS CLUB
IQUITOS, Peru
Osmar and Nicole Tuanama started the first kids club with 60 children. I had the privilege of building the first kids club with some friends of mine pictured here.
Osmar and Nicole have grown the Kids Club to over 500 children in 5 different locations. Their Ministry produced many Pastors and leaders. Osmar and Nicole plan to build a Church Campus with a school.
Please continue to pray for this wonderful ministry.
They also learn practical life skills like proper hygiene and swimming. Many young children drown during the rainy season when the water level raises 20-30 feet in the area of the Kids Club. We provide help with food, clothing and learning material.
